Application Acknowledgement. HR-XML's Application Acknowledgement is designed as a business-level reponse that provides error, success, and similar disposition information back to the originator of a prior message. The previous version of this specification was narrowly scoped on a Benefits Enrollment usecase. The revised version is backwardly compatible, but certain constraints have been relaxed and a new ReferenceId added so that the schema might flexibly serve as a default "acknowledgement" for use with HR-XML specifications that don't otherwise include an acknowledge message. Assessments. The HR-XML Consortium's Assessments specification supports order requests to providers of assessment and testing services. The specification also is designed to support the return of assessment status and results. Assessments.html

AssessmentCatalog. This specification is designed to support the discovery of tests within a assessment provider's catalog from another system, such as an applicant tracking system. HR-XML's Assessments specification uses a PackageId as the reference identifier for ordering assessments. The AssessmentCatalog schema provides a means to provision the applicant tracking system with PackageIds and descriptive information and administrative details about available tests. Background Checking. The BackgroundCheck schema supports background check requests to third-party suppliers of background checking services. The specification also supports the return of search results. A wide variety of screenings are supported, including searches of criminal records, education, employment, military service, professional licenses, professional sanctions, and credit. Benefits Enrollment. The HR-XML Consortium's Benefits Enrollment Specification is designed to make it easier for employers, plan record keepers, health plans, and other plan providers to exchange enrollment and eligibility data. The updated standard, like the original, was developed so that it can be readily transformed to the legacy EDI transaction sets mandated under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Competencies. The Competencies schema allows the capture of information about evidence used to substantiate a competency and ratings and weights that can be used to rank, compare, and otherwise evaluate the sufficiency or desirability of a competency. Competencies.html

CompetencyTypes. The CompetencyTypes schema is intended to hold data types and reusable components related to competencies. The first version of the schema includes two simple components: A globally scoped element called "CompetencyId" of a type EntityIdType. The document contains guidance on constructing references to competencies defined in competency taxonomies known to trading partners; A data type named "SpecifiedCompetencyReferenceType" pairs a CompetencyId with an optional ProficiencyLevel element. This allows the reference of a particular competency at a specified level of proficiency. CompetencyTypes.html

Contact Method. Contact Method provides XML schema designers the patterns they need to capture postal addresses, phone numbers, e-mail, and on-line and wireless messaging. ContactMethod.html

Date Time Data Types. This specification sets out an approach for HR-XML Schema designers to use in requiring or prohibiting the Time Zone designation for date, time and date/time values. DateTimeDataTypes.html

Education History. EducationHistory provides a flexible container for information about person's education history, including the identify of institutions attended, dates attended, degrees earned, and other measures of educational achievement. Effective Dating. This specification sets out guidance for using effective dates throughout the Consortium’s work. EffectiveDating.html

Employment History. EmploymentHistory provides a flexible container for information about person's work history, including the identify of employers, positions held, dates of employment and assignments, and other employment-related details. Entity Identifiers. This specification outlines a methodology for managing "identifiers" used between trading partners. The specification includes a set of design norms and recommendations as well as a reusable XML data type that is used throughout HR-XML schemas. EntityIdentifiers.html

Identifier Types. The Identifier Types specification provides guidance on, and defines XML schema types for, representing various identifiers. The specification references the separate "EntityIdentifiers" specification. The specification also provides guidance on the use of Internet domain names as practical organizational identifiers as well as D&B D-U-N-S Numbers (a registered trademark of Dun & Bradstreet). IndicativeData. This specification supports the exchange of "indicative data." The phrase indicative data is used to describe employee census data (sourced from payroll or HRIS systems) that is supplied by an employer to a third-party administrator or business process outsourcer (BPO). This flexible specification is intended to support the initial provisioning of an outsourcer's system as well as maintenance of that data once on the outsourcer's system. ISO Utilities. This specification provides guidance on, and defines XML schema types for, representing ISO codes for currency, country, gender, and names of languages. GuidelinesForISOUtilities.html

Metrics Interchange. The HR-XML Consortium’s Metrics Interchange specification defines a simple, yet flexible schema capable of supporting a wide variety of integration scenarios involving the exchange of HR metrics data. The specification is intended to make it easier to automate the acquisition and transfer of HR metrics data between and among a wide variety of HR solution providers. MetricsInterchange.html

Military History. MilitaryHistory provides a flexible container for information about person's military service, including identify of the service branch, unit, rank achieved, dates of service, campaigns served in, discharge status, and disciplinary actions. MilitaryHistory.html

NewHire. This specification is designed to support the exchange information between the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and a Human Resources Management System (HRMS) at the point of hire. NewHire.html

Organization. Defines XML schema types for organizations and organizational units. Organizations are legally recognized entities such as companies and subsidiaries, and organizational units are internally defined entities like "Department," "Cost Center," and "Project Team". The specification also allows the capture of information about the people that belong to OrganizationalUnits and the roles of those inidividuals. The specification is sufficiently complete to support the exchange of "organizational charts". Payroll Benefit Contributions. The PayrollBenefitContributions specification allows participant contributions information to be sent to a third party administrator. This specification is designed to support U.S. payrolls. PayrollBenefitContributions.html

Payroll Instructions. The PayrollInstructions specification is intended to support the submission of payroll deduction requests and other change instructions to an organization that processes payrolls. The type of instructions covered by the specification include those for deductions from employees’ pay as well as adjustments to employer payments and liabilities that must be considered in payroll calculations. Person Name. Prescribes the form of Person Name used in HR-XML specifications. PersonName.html

Postal Address. Prescribes the form of the PostalAddress used in HR-XML specifications. PostalAddress.html

Resume. This specification provides a definition for an XML Resume. The specification includes modules for employment, education, and military history. The latest version includes the following new components: ResumeId; DistributionGuidelines; ExecutiveSummary; LicensesAndCertifications; PatentHistory; PublicationHistory; SpeakingEventsHistory; Languages; Achievements; Associations; References; SecurityCredentials; ResumeAdditionalItems; and SupportingMaterials. Staffing Exchange Protocol. HR-XML's Staffing Exchange Protocol (SEP) provides a common method for posting employment opportunities to web-based recruiting sites and for the return of information about job seekers. StaffingExchangeProtocol.html

Staffing Industry Data Exchange Standards (SIDES). Staffing Industry Data Exchange Standards -- commonly known by the acronym "SIDES" -- is a comprehensive suite of data exchange standards designed to offer new efficiencies and cost savings for staffing customers, staffing suppliers, and other stakeholders in the staffing supply chain. Stock Plan Interface Specification. The HR-XML Consortium's stock plan interface specification defines standard, vendor-neutral data definitions for the transfer of stock plan data. Time Expense Reporting. TimeCard is a simple definition of elements required to report time worked and expenses incurred. The most recent version includes a variety of syntactical changes for clarity as well as new elements designed to accommodate requirements of staffing and other vertical industries. User Area. This specification sets out a standard mechanism for extending HR-XML Schemas. In Version 2.0, the targetNamespace and default namespace have been changed. The restriction that contents of the UserArea must be in a different namespace has been removed. HRXMLExtension.html

WorkSite. The WorkSite specifications contains information pertaining to the site or location of a job or position; the environment of a job or position; dress code; and safety equipment. WorkSite.html
